BaiTaxi is a non-profit association created by taxi drivers, for taxi drivers. It was born to fight against the injustices suffered by the taxi sector, heavily affected in recent years by the arrival of VTC platforms.
The Basque taxi sector has been competing for years in unequal conditions against VTC platforms that operate with less regulation and less commitment to the territory. Faced with this, a group of taxi drivers decided to organize and build their own tool: technology made by the sector, for the sector.
BaiTaxi offers local taxi drivers state-of-the-art fleet control tools — the same technology used by large platforms, but at the service of taxi professionals, not against them.
BaiTaxi is not a company seeking profit: it belongs to the taxi drivers themselves, for the taxi drivers themselves.
There are no disproportionate commissions or quotas that harm the worker. The effort remains in the sector.
